Old lodge in the afternoon

This time of day its normally Quiet
as l walked the top path it looks like the male redstarts
are getting paired up .
All slowed down with Tree pipits feeding in three areas
Willow warblers around and wrens.
Two Jay's still hunting down one side & Common Buzzards over head
a few Swallows through as well.

Morning at the forest

A nice start with 2 Cuckoo's
then a Redstart some willow warblers
and Tree pipit's

Early morning at PB

Arrived at 6.30am
to get to the spot like last year
on the way had a look at west mead hide 2 LRP
close to hide lots of chiffchaff paired up black cap around to
then found a nice Toad on path and sat for the Nightingales
for a few hours. No Adders seen today

Alpine Swift at Crawley

Arrived to see the Alpine Swift warm up just as
it dropped off the V A building and head east 10 seconds
in view when it came off the roost.

Today Alastair Gray
found an Alpine Swift this morning. So I went looking
this afternoon and watched it at the Virgin Atlantic building
in manor royal Industrial estate.

Friday as l looked out the window
l saw a little Goldcrest on my Xmas tree
in the front of my house.

Sunday afternoon walk

At 3pm I started my walk to the dew pond
at the Burgh seeing Red-legged and Grey partridge
first yellowhammers in the bushes.
A Peregrine went past kestrel with common Buzzards
in the distance 2 Red Kite one close but low over fields
11 Corn Bunting in the same bush at dew pond area.
Then wind got up and Rain set in back to the car and home.
