Pagham North wall then Burpham

Got the day off with a visit to Pagham
at the north wall got straight on the
2 Ruddy Shelduck out in the middle feeding
then up to the burgh for some raptors.
seeing Common Buzzards Kestrel Sparrowhawk
6 Red Kite and a distant short-eared Owl
large flock of Linnets some Stonechats.

light was good 4 hours at one bird

A afternoon at the Marine
found a Black Redstart with
3 Pied Wagtail on the beach side
of the west arm.
as work in progress you can only
go half way down the arm.

looking for the Pacific Diver
after 2 hours moved on to Newhaven
to see if luck is in for this spoonbill
and yes it was feeding in the creek at tidemills
at low tide.

Spent the today with a Black-Throated diver
that just stayed on the opposite side of the lake
when people came from other directions it
stayed in the middle.
Great to see nice day.

Went looking for Gulls
found Chinese boat people arriving
looking like fisherman on large arm
what are they doing....
Eider are nice on west arm & Purple sandpipers
Fulmars on west side along cliff face.

Barnham church
first stop to see the 2 WHOOPER SWANS
with Mute swans.
Then to Burpham looking for the
Bewick Swans
second stop found then over the railway lines
looking from the cricket ground.
then home for a cupper.
