Sussex Lesser Yellowlegs

A very nice morning with John
watching the Lesser Yellowlegs feeding sleeping
and stretching flying.

Littlehampton beach

Went to Littlehampton Beach
to see the Kumlien's Gull and it came
from the car park as some one was putting bread out
in that area landed on the rivers edge on the west side
then headed down the river lost to view.
A Herring Gull size Gull on the Beach was of interest
as the bill was so big with a small head was smaller that a
Great black-backed ...I've found out with help its a female 1st winter GBB Gull.

Started in the rain
at Burpham Cricket ground with 33 Bewick swans in the fields below.

Then of to Ivy Lake for the Dusky warbler but no joy had a cetti's Warbler
and saw the female red-crested Pochard
