Selsey Bill

Me and John went to the bill looking for the Velvet Scoter
we saw 2 one came in with a group of common scoter
and the other was on its own then came closer showing
its wing so the white showed in the sun light as it landed.
Then we headed to Eastbourne for the waxwings and saw three
near debenhams two more for the year ....list

Pulborough brooks

A late Start
At Pulborough brooks l went to the Gate and waited
for the male Lesser Spotted Woodpecker it was over one hour
after l arrived that it showed stayed for 2mins and moved on.
I headed to coldwaltham brooks to see if the Owls would show
and got to see a Barn Owl at 4pm for 20 min then home.

Friday a visit to dungeness
the fog was stopping any chance to get pic's from any distance

only a chiffchaff at the lighthouse garden for me..

then to day the Crane at Amberly at 8.30am then home
it was seen at a great distance this morning..

Monday At Grove Ferry Kent


I headed out to kent to see a Penduline tit as it would be my first
as l arrived l meet Dave from kent and his friend getting shots of Bearded tit
so l joined them then l walked of to a water rail down the path
after 20 mins steve waved me back as they had the Penduline tit showing
l joined and watched it for 10-20 min,s one lovely little bird but distant
for the time l was there it got close for the others but l had ran out of time
and had to go.now got 312 on my uk life list..303 for the year..

Pagham North wall

l got to Pagham just as the hooded Merganser
went around the corner so l
Waited for 2 hours till it showed as the
light was going sorry about pic's
A Helicopter looked to low as it came
through Pagham Harbour about 120 feet high
putting up the birds then turned like and did it again
stupid..pilot.
